An aluminium linear guide is used to support or guide a piece of equipment in a linear fashion in an environment which dictates the linear guide must have corrosion resistant properties. Interchangeable dimensionally with other major manufacturers of linear guides but made from anodised aluminium with hardened stainless raceways and balls. With up to 60% weight saving compared to standard steel alternatives they are ideal for weight sensitive applications such as in aviation.
At Automotion Components we stock lengths up to 4 metres for same day dispatch. We are able to offer other lengths on request and provide technical support for your project.
Be sure to claim your free copy of our Linear Rails Handbook here for help with your linear motion applications.
Unflanged carriages for aluminium linear guideways. Ideal for applications where weight efficiency is a priority, such as for aviation parts.

Aluminium front fixing linear rail 15mm, 20 and 25mm. Lightweight rails that ensure performance at up to 60% reduced weight compared to steel versions.
Automotion Aluminium profile rails and ball bearing runner blocks are designed especially for applications requiring a precise linear guide system with a huge degree of corrosion resistance. The rails consist of profiled aluminium having two pressed-in hardened stainless steel raceways for the stainless steel balls of the runner blocks to run along. Advantages are the light weight and corrosive resistant materials. Fixing holes in the attachment surfaces enable machine parts to be directly mounted onto the runner blocks. With this combination it is possible for us to offer a guide system which achieves a good price/performance ratio.
Speed - vmax = 2 m/s
Acceleration - amax = 30 m/s2
Temperature - T = 0o - 60oC
Our rails can be used in a broad range of applications. Especially in light machinery, handling technology, jigs and fixtures, assembly technology, manual displacement systems, machine enclosures, door – and window technology, display systems, aerospace, medical, food and many more.
Our aluminium rail guides cannot be used in the following applications:
We are entering the next phase of our relocation to a larger factory in Chichester, West Sussex. The next few weeks will see products start to be moved from our current site in Cranleigh, Surrey to the new warehouse.
There are thousands of parts to be relocated and whilst we are doing our best to ensure a smooth transition, this may cause slight delays to some shipments.
We expect to be have all parts relocated and full production capability for our new 35,000ft² facility running by mid-March. Thank you for your understanding.Continue to Website
