Our swivel lifting rings fully comply with the EC directive 2006/42/EC. They are CE marked and are supplied with a certificate of conformity. They are available with up to three points of articulation and are available in sizes supporting up to 125 tons per lifting ring. Each ring is engraved with a traceability number and safety certification.
As specialists in mechanical components our knowledgeable technical support team can assist with your project, especially when it comes to the technical requirements necessary for safely lifting heavy equipment.
Make sure you also request a free Mechanical Components Handbook here and utilise our freely available CAD files to save time planning your projects.
Available with male and female threads. The single swivel bolts rotate in a single plane to accommodate movements in the lift.
Double articulation lifting rings allow the ring to align perfectly with the sling. Available in male and female threads.
Triple articulated lifting rings with a very low overhang for improved safety. Longer and shorter thread lengths can be supplied.
Our eye bolts are made from forged steel or stainless, with metric or imperial sizing.
High tensile corrosion resistant steel. Coloured yellow to indicate personal safety. Supplied with CE certificate.
The following instructions apply to all swivel lifting rings manufactured or supplied by Automotion Components. These rings are listed and described in our technical catalogue. Only the offi cial Automotion Components catalogue can be used as a benchmark.
All swivel lifting rings are manufactured in accordance with European standard EN 1677-1 and machinery directive 2006/42/CE. All products are supplied with a Report of Thorough Examination (ROTE), checked for anti-cracking and proof of load test (WLL x 2.5) according to current European standards. A safety factor of 5 is applicable to most products (see Automotion Components catalogue). Optional certification by an external certification company is available, at extra cost.
This declaration is void if any unapproved alterations are made to the rings or if the equipment is not used as specified in the operating instructions.
Individual tracking code on each ring. Manufacturing marking on each ring.
These products should only be used by competent personnel who are familiar with their use, who have been trained in accordance with current European standards. Personnel should not operate under suspended loads and should avoid actions which give rise to shocks, tugs or vibrations. Operators should not be distracted or put in danger in the handling area. The engraved WLL on these products must be adhered to at all times. The thread (diameter/length) must be applicable to the material in which it will be fitted. The following values should be adhered to:
When fastening in low resistance material allow a bigger thread diameter to compensate for lower resistance. The tap used must be to current European standards and long enough to accommodate the full length of the bolt. Material developed for temperature between -20°C and +200°C:
Avoid using in corrosive areas or ones that contain; sand, chemical, acid, moisture... (Contact us for stainless steel rings solution). Using swivel lifting rings at an angle generates WLL reduced coefficients. Please use the lifting angles table in the technical catalogue to calculate the coefficients. For any size not shown in the lifting angles table, please contact the technical team at Automotion Components.
Bolts must be tightened to the correct torque as recommended in the Automotion Components catalogue. Ensure that the whole ring flange is in contact with the piece to be lifted. For single use without rotation it is suffi cient to tighten with a wrench/allen key to ensure full contact between the ring base and the lifted item. Check the tightness before each use. Ensure maximum torque as recommended in the Automotion catalogue is not exceeded.
All swivelling parts must be able to move freely in all directions without obstruction. If using centring type rings ensure an extra hole is drilled in order to maximise bolt strength. Take the centre of gravity into account. Before lifting, ensure the shackle is correctly orientated in the direction of lifting.
Inspection must be carried out by authorised persons who have been trained to current UK and European standards. A visual inspection before each use is necessary. The following points must be checked:
If any of these conditions are not met, further inspection is necessary. A full inspection must be performed annually. In some cases, frequent detailed investigations are required. Automotion Components can provide control sheets on request. All swivel lifting rings supplied by Wixroyd International Ltd can be returned once a year for a free analysis.

We are entering the next phase of our relocation to a larger factory in Chichester, West Sussex. The next few weeks will see products start to be moved from our current site in Cranleigh, Surrey to the new warehouse.
There are thousands of parts to be relocated and whilst we are doing our best to ensure a smooth transition, this may cause slight delays to some shipments.
We expect to be have all parts relocated and full production capability for our new 35,000ft² facility running by mid-March. Thank you for your understanding.Continue to Website
