Lead Screws and Ball Screws
Most of our lead screws are held in stock for immediate despatch.
Lead screws are typically stocked in 3metre lengths which we can then cut down on site to your required length the same day.
We use UPS to ship lead screws up to 3 metres long, typically on a next day delivery.
We have a large warehouse with automated stock parts storage.
We hold a large amount of stock and aim to despatch your orders on the same day.
We recognise that sometimes the parts will not be in stock - and if this is the case then typically lead time is 7-10 days.

Automotion's popular stainless steel grade AISI 316 commercial trapezoidal lead screws is held in stock for most sizes, we typically supply in 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 metre lengths.

Bronze Lead Screw Nuts - Order on-line!
We stock a wide range of lead screw nuts for our trapezoidal lead screws. We offer a wide range of cylindrical and flanged (the most popular type) bronze nuts.
- For manual or motorised applications.
- For power transmission and continuous use, always use bronze nuts, never steel.
- Nuts and screws should always be lubricated with grease or oil.
Nylon Lead Screw Nuts - In stock.
Cylindrical nylon nut for use with trapezoidal lead screws.
- Designed for low to medium loads.
- Maintenance free.
- Reduced noise in operation.
- Medium to high speeds.
- Resistant to dirt.
Stainless Steel and Steel Lead Screw Nuts - In stock.
Steel nuts for use with trapezoidal lead screws.
- Hexagonal, square, and cylindrical nuts available in steel.
- Stainless steel cylindrical nuts
- Not suitable for high loads.
- Nuts and screws should always be lubricated with grease or oil.
- Only use with steel lead screws in hand operated applications only.
Stainless Steel and Aluminium precision lead screws are available with round, rectangular, or anti-backlash nuts. These are higher accuracy than our commercial lead screws and are provided in a greater range of "leads" (amount travelled per complete turn).
- Lead screw diameters from 4mm up to 25mm with "leads" from 1mm to 50mm! Repeatability to 0,01mm.
- Machining of lead screws can be done to customer drawings.
Rolled thread ball screws from 16mm diameter up to 60mm diameter in lengths up to 3 metres.
- Machining of the ball screws can be done to customer drawings.
- Supplied with flanged or cylindrical nuts.
Bearing support mounts are used at each end of a lead screw or ball screw. Usually a fixed type is used one end and a floating type is used the other end. A variety of fixing style bearing mounts are available.
